2/09 - 2/12 SCCA Double Drivers School - Roebling Road
Just got back my SCCA Double Drivers with my Novice Permit. It was an awesome weekend and I had more fun then should be allowed. I rented an SSC Neon for the event, choosing to park the STi and save a few bucks by using some cheap brakes and takeoff tires on the Neon. I also knew I would learn more trying to take a slower car through a pack of faster cars instead of just leading on pole in the STi. The car was definetly slow in the dry, but I had an awesome time fighting faster SSC cars and Spec Miatas. We got rain on saturday and I just started passing people like crazy. Everyone slowed way down, but I got to still push hard in the Neon and was 8th fastest out of 50 faster cars in my run group. Thanks to Jon K of Seat Time for the rental!
